Job summary

Johnstone Supply in New York is seeking a Material Handler/Driver to receive, fill, and ship products and ensure safe delivery to customers and store locations. You will operate basic warehouse equipment and drive company vehicles in a safe, timely manner.

Responsibilities include order picking, packing, inventory counts, route planning, and maintaining vehicle and warehouse safety. A valid CDL or driver’s license, forklift certification, and previous warehouse experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years truck driving experience or experience operating Johnstone equipment/vehicles.
• Forklift certification preferred; able to operate warehouse equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic power equipment (forklift, pallet jack) safely to move products.
• Receive product by unloading trucks and verify against packing lists.
• Ensure shipments are intact and correctly labeled with barcodes and stock numbers.
• Fill orders by picking and packing items and preparing for shipment.
• Drive company vehicles following DOT/state/federal rules; maintain vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
