Job summary

Johnstone Supply in Florham Park, NJ, is looking for a COS Material Handler I to receive, fill, and ship products accurately. You will operate powered equipment, unload deliveries, verify shipments, and maintain proper labeling and paperwork. The role requires attention to safety, basic math, and teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Shift: Monday–Friday 7am–5pm; Rotational Saturday 7am–12pm. Pay: $17–$19 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain on the job.

Responsibilities

• Operates power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) to locate, put away, stack, and move products daily.
• Receives product by unloading trucks using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
• Ensures shipments are accurate by inspecting freight, verifying quantities, and completing paperwork.
• Ensures bar codes are verified and labels readable; resolves labeling discrepancies.
