Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline as listed.
• Zero to two years of engineering, internship, co‑op, or related experience.
• Basic understanding of drawings, BOMs, specs and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD software; SolidWorks or AutoCAD preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for calculations and tracking.
• Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles to problems.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work hands‑on with products, prototypes, and suppliers.
• Clear written and verbal communication; cross‑functional collaboration.
• Curiosity and initiative to learn HVAC products and VAVE methods.

Responsibilities

• Support cost‑reduction opportunities through product reviews, analyses, supplier input, and teardowns.
• Define project requirements and develop practical product improvements with cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate multiple VAVE projects, tracking scope, priorities, risks, schedules, and savings.
• Use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Excel to create or revise models, BOMs, specs, and docs.
• Design or modify HVAC components and assemblies with various parts and systems.
• Apply value‑engineering and design‑for‑manufacturing principles to cut material, labor, and steps.
• Prepare preliminary cost and savings calculations with available data and guidance.
• Support prototype builds, supplier samples, teardowns, trials, and tests.
• Review test and production feedback, document results, and support corrective actions.
• Prepare and coordinate engineering changes with drawings, BOMs, specs, and manufacturing docs.
• Communicate project status and savings forecasts through trackers and summaries.
• Contribute to VAVE process improvements by maintaining records and templates.
