STRONGBUILT PLUMBING & AIR (NM) is seeking an HVAC Tune-Up Technician in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups to keep HVAC systems running efficiently while educating customers on energy-saving practices.

You will diagnose issues during routine service, order parts as needed, and document system conditions. A strong mechanical aptitude and customer-focused mindset are essential for growing skills in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC trade school or technical program preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification required; NATE certification preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and tune-ups on HVAC systems, including cleaning, inspecting, testing, and calibrating equipment.
• Inspect, clean, and adjust components such as condensers, blowers, coils, and filters.
• Diagnose potential issues during tune-ups and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements.
• Educate customers on system performance, energy efficiency, and maintenance best practices, communicating clearly to build trust.
• Document work performed, system condition, and recommendations for each job.
