Job summary

YDU JC Air Cond & Ref Inc.- Dubai is seeking skilled technicians to perform preventive maintenance, repair, and servicing of HVAC control systems. This role offers a salary range of $26‑35 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including health care and 401K.

What you will do

• Under minimal supervision, conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and general servicing of systems, including detailed troubleshooting.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on‑site customer interface.
• Mentor control, service and mechanical technicians on building automation activities.
• Complete required project and service documentation.
• Provide customers with solutions to building inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, delivering solutions and outcomes at the time of service.

How you will do it

• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions, testing and writing modifications in multiple languages of systems software.
• Consult with the customer through data gathered and site assessments.
• Provide field proposals for retrofits, upgrades or enhancements to existing equipment.
• Assist sales with technical recommendations for sales leads.
• Manage assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction.
• Report problems or changes to management immediately.
• Interface with branch manager, service manager, project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities as required.
• Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections.
• Assist with job layouts and bid proposals.
• Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Keep customers informed on service provided, outstanding issues and recommend system enhancements, upgrades and replacements.
• Promote sale of add‑on work.
• Adhere to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards, providing safety leadership and instruction to all control technicians.
• Train customers in control system operations, delivering manuals and documentation.
• Provide mentorship for certification of Controls and Service Technicians on complex building automation systems.
• Coach, support and train the technical workforce on non‑complex, non‑critical equipment.
• Compile job documentation such as certificates of completion, customer training forms, training certificates and punch lists.
• Conduct extensive self‑study to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company product lines and complete required certifications.

What we look for

• Dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for system troubleshooting, repair and aftermarket services.
• Minimum of 3+ years commercial controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry, including buildings, chiller plants and systems.
• Vocational school program graduate or associate's degree in a technical field, or two years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non‑technical people.
• Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications.
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.

Salary & Benefits

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26‑35 per hour. This position includes a competitive benefits package as outlined above.
