Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is a full-service HVAC, building automation, chiller, and retrofit contractor. We perform maintenance, service, and energy solutions with in-house capabilities and design assistance on a turnkey basis.

On-site HVAC technician role with responsibilities including filters, cooling towers, routine maintenance, duct cleaning, and general housekeeping for mechanical equipment. Union-based compensation and benefits apply through local labor agreements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move and carry material up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work at extended heights.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). i.e. Dust mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection.
• Ability to wear a company uniform and maintain a neat personal appearance.

Responsibilities

• Change and service filters, oil and grease bearings and perform belt adjustment and replacement services.
• Cooling tower and condenser maintenance – coils, evaporators and tubes.
• Clean and perform routine maintenance as required.
• Perform indoor air quality related maintenance including but not limited to the cleaning of duct systems and drain pans.
• General housekeeping tasks that are required by the customer to operate mechanical equipment.
