Job summary

Blue Collar Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Instructor to train and mentor the next generation of HVAC professionals. You’ll provide classroom and hands-on instruction, drawing on real-world experience to help students build technical skills and confidence in the field.

Prior teaching experience is not required. Comprehensive instructor training is provided to ensure success in guiding students toward graduation and employment in the HVAC industry.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional HVAC Technician experience.
  • Current Oil Burner Certificate is required.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, service procedures, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Genuine interest in teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and hands‑on HVAC instruction using an established curriculum.
  • Demonstrate HVAC tools, equipment, service procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and safety practices.
  • Create a professional, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
  • Coach and mentor students as they develop their technical skills.
  • Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and competency development.
  • Provide constructive feedback and additional support when needed.
  • Help prepare students for graduation and employment in the HVAC industry.
  • Maintain accurate student records and complete required administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to support student success.

Schedule Options

Candidates may be considered for either schedule:

Day Schedule
  • Monday–Thursday: 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Evening Schedule
  • Monday–Thursday: 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $65,000–$75,000 annual salary
