Job summary

YTI Career Institute in York, PA seeks an HVAC Instructor with real-world HVAC experience to join our hands-on program. You will bring practical skills into the classroom and guide students through real-world scenarios.

No teaching degree is required; we provide curriculum, training, and support to help you teach effectively and mentor learners toward licensing and career success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage your day.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to use common software programs (MS Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

As an HVAC Instructor, you’ll bring real-world experience into the classroom and lab, showing students how the trade actually works — not just how it looks in a book.

You will:

• Teach hands-on HVAC skills using real equipment and real scenarios
• Share jobsite knowledge, troubleshooting tips, and best practices
• Mentor students at different skill levels — from beginners to advanced learners
• Prepare students for licensing, certification, and real-world success
• Participate in paid training and ongoing professional development
• Work independently while being supported by an experienced education team

No lesson plans from scratch, no education degree required — we provide curriculum, training, and support.
