Job summary

Bermuda Village is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems within a retirement community. The role emphasizes safety, EPA compliance, and reliable system performance to ensure resident comfort and satisfaction.

The candidate will inspect and repair equipment, perform preventive maintenance, monitor building controls, and collaborate with staff to support facility operations.

Qualifications

• Current EPA Certification (Universal or Type 11) required.
• 2+ years of HVAC installation, maintenance and repair experience (commercial or institutional).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, electrical components, and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment (chillers, boilers, RTUs, heat pumps, air handlers, VAV systems).
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical and control systems.
• Monitor BAS and adjust for efficiency and comfort.
• Maintain service and maintenance records for all equipment.
• Respond to facility maintenance requests and HVAC system alarms.
