Job summary

Firesafetyworks in San Angelo, TX is seeking a full-time HVAC Technician to inspect and maintain building mechanical systems, including HVAC, water treatment, and emergency generators. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and compliant reporting.

Candidates should have 2+ years of O&M experience, strong MS Office skills, and a valid HVAC license. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• The HVAC Technician will have 2+ years’ experience in the Operations & Maintenance of building operational systems including HVAC, Fire Suppression Systems, Environmental (to include Oil Water Separator Servicing) and Water Treatment procedures.
• The HVAC Technician will be proficient with MS Office computer programs ("Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project"), possess outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of contractual requirements and creation of schedules.
• Utilizes Tsheets timekeeping daily, logging in and out for lunch.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and maintain organization.
• Maintains, repairs and ensures all equipment is in proper working condition including HVAC systems, water treatment systems and emergency generator systems and various other mechanical systems.
• Orders replacement items through purchasing, and works with vendors regarding repairs to existing equipment.
• Submits receipts on a weekly basis to the corporate office for processing.
• Perform any additional duties on an “as required” basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual responsibilities.
• Issue reports and summaries as required.
• Maintain appropriate records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.
• Resolves clients’ concerns, conducts follow-up calls and makes onsite visit inspections for satisfactory job performance.
• Create estimates as needed. Familiar with RS Means.
