Job summary

A city government agency is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians to join their team in Seattle. The role involves operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems across various city facilities. Qualified candidates will have 2 years of relevant experience or education, possess necessary licenses within 90 days of hiring, and demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills. The position offers a step progression pay scale ranging from $61.79 to $66.81 per hour. Candidates will also participate in practical and written testing as part of the application process.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• City of Seattle Grade Ill Steam Engineer's license required within 90 days.
• City of Seattle Refrigeration Mechanic's License class A is necessary.
• EPA CFC Universal Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install HVAC equipment.
• Collaborate on troubleshooting and repairing DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Maintain documentation for services performed and shop materials used.
• Respond to facilities related inquiries and emergencies.
