This position is located on Roi-Namur, Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodations or pets). Benefits include free housing, three meals daily, and potential overseas tax incentives.

Essential Functions

1. Provide operations and maintenance support, including new installations, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and repairs of equipment such as chillers, pumps, motors, and air compressors used in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
2. Estimate materials and labor for projects.
3. Manage the shop in the supervisor’s absence.
4. Assist with daily work management system monitoring.
5. Oversee and advise technicians on tool and equipment use.
6. Follow safety rules and regulations.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

1. Troubleshoot HVAC equipment including chillers, pumps, motors, and air compressors.
2. Interpret electrical and refrigeration systems and troubleshoot accordingly.
3. Analyze defects and failures, perform modifications and corrective actions.
4. Proficient in using relevant tools, including welding and cutting equipment.
5. Define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
6. Read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
7. Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills.
9. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
10. Work independently and as part of a team.
11. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Experience

1. Associate's degree in a related field or completion of an HVAC apprenticeship, military training, or equivalent.
2. At least 8 years of technical experience in HVAC system maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
3. Qualification as an HVAC Chiller Mechanic or similar title.
4. EPA Universal HVAC Certification for refrigerant handling.

Additional Qualifications

• Pass a Federal Background Investigation for a CAC.
• Relocate to Roi Namur, Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work at heights up to 30 feet and in confined spaces.
• Obtain and maintain a USAG-KA driver’s license.
• Work flexible hours including non-duty hours or weekends for emergencies or project needs.
