This position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodations or pets). Benefits include free housing, three meals a day, and potential overseas tax incentives.

Essential Functions
  1. Support compliance with the US Army Kwajalein Atoll Range Technical Services (RTS) Engineering Contract, Performance Work Statements (PWS), and contract deliverables for occupational health and industrial safety management, including contractual commitments, laws, and regulations.
  2. Provide direct support to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHS&E) program operations, including safety & health training, field, and program implementation.
  3. Conduct OHS&E training needs assessments, identify gaps, develop safety program data for KPIs, and develop training plans and schedules, including logistics and record management.
  4. Deliver or assist in delivering OHS-related training such as new employee safety orientation, fall prevention, confined space safety, respiratory protection, safety inspections, job hazard analysis, MEWP, crane & rigging, and safety leadership.
  5. Develop or assist in developing/revising/implementing OHS&E policies, procedures, and best practices.
  6. Assist with Job Hazard Analysis, work scope review, environmental programs, incident investigations, risk assessments, facility inspections, and equipment requisitions.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, rules, and regulations, and the ability to apply them effectively.
  • Self-motivated with decision-making skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong principles of professional conduct, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Experience in report writing, document development, and database management.
  • Experience in safety training (classroom and on-the-job).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least five years of relevant occupational health and safety experience.
  • Instructor certifications in Tower Climber Rescue, First Aid/CPR/AED, Electrical Safety/LOTO (NFPA 70E), OSHA Construction or General Industry, or the ability to obtain them.
  • Preferred: BCSP certification, HAZWOPER instructor, EM-385, maritime safety knowledge, industrial hygiene principles.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • This position is unaccompanied.
  • Willingness to work occasional non-duty hours or weekends.
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and handle awkward loads.
  • Travel to outer islands by plane, helicopter, or boat.
  • Ability to pass a Federal Background Investigation for a CAC.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Legal authorization to work and live on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
