Job summary

Waconia Comfort in Waconia, MN seeks an HVAC Technician/Installer Level 2+ to install residential heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems. You will work with an experienced team on diverse projects, building skills and advancing within the company while upholding high standards of workmanship.

The role emphasizes independent installation work, leadership growth, and commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years HVAC installation experience or equivalent field experience
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to read installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents

Responsibilities

• Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-split systems, and related HVAC equipment
• Assist with complete residential HVAC system replacements and new installations
• Install ductwork, venting, refrigerant lines, condensate drains, and system accessories
• Perform equipment start-ups, testing, and basic commissioning procedures
• Troubleshoot installation-related issues and make necessary adjustments
• Read and follow installation manuals, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications
• Complete brazing, soldering, and refrigerant line installations according to industry standards
• Install and configure thermostats, controls, and indoor air quality products
• Ensure all installations meet company standards, manufacturer requirements, and local codes
• Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding installation progress and system operation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Protect customers' homes and property during all phases of installation
• Safely operate company vehicles, tools, ladders, and equipment
• Complete installation documentation accurately and on time
• Assist in training and supporting less experienced installers as your experience allows
• Continue learning through manufacturer training, certifications, and hands-on experience
