Job summary

Facility Services Management Inc. seeks a skilled HVAC Technician in Anchorage, Alaska to install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will diagnose malfunctions and ensure safety and industry standards.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred), 2+ years of HVAC experience, and a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; completion of HVAC trade program preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred); state/local licenses desirable.
• 2+ years of professional HVAC maintenance/repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on commercial and residential HVAC units to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
• Identify electrical, mechanical, and airflow faults using testing tools.
• Repair or replace defective parts including compressors, motors, thermostats, valves, and wiring.
• Recover, evacuate, and recharge refrigerants per EPA regulations.
