Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, a leading HVAC controls provider in Alaska, seeks a Controls Technician in Juneau to troubleshoot and program temperature control systems per project specs. You will support installation, warranty, and emergency procedures in customer environments.

The role requires HVAC/control systems knowledge, and experience with KMC, Distech, and Tridium/Honeywell. Travel to job sites is expected as needed and professional customer interactions are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year temperature control system start-up, checkout, and service experience.
• Ability to legally drive a company vehicle.
• Knowledge of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
• Programming and troubleshooting skills with KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell, and other equivalent systems.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems to meet specified sequences of operation and equipment manufacturers recommendations.
• Perform calibration and check-out of control systems and ensure commissioning obligations are met.
• Create control graphics for projects and provide the labor and expertise for GUIs.
• Instruct customer personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems.
