Job summary

University of Vermont is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform skilled installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and related refrigeration equipment. The role requires coordination with supervisors and campus partners, and may involve operating a University vehicle and aerial lift.

PPE is required for specific tasks. Minimum qualifications include Vermont Type S C3 License or ability to obtain within six months, Refrigerant Recovery Certification,

Qualifications

• Proficient with computers and mobile technology.
• Must have or be able to obtain required Vermont licenses and certifications within six months.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair building HVAC systems and controls.
• Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment including chillers, freezers, refrigerators and coolers.
• Coordinate with supervisor and campus partners; operate University vehicle as needed; PPE required.
