Job summary

The Blinn College District on Brenham Campus is seeking a Full Time HVAC Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on HVAC/R systems with moderate independence. Primary duties include troubleshooting, developing technical proficiency, and following established maintenance programs; will participate in safety programs and may work overtime as needed.

Requirements include High School diploma or GED, 2–4 years HVAC/R experience, EPA refrigerant license and valid driver's

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; vocational or special training in HVAC/electrical/mechanical field.
• 2–4 years of progressively responsible experience maintaining and repairing HVAC/R systems.
• Apprentice-level state license where applicable; EPA Certified license to handle refrigerants.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance per program and respond to work requests for HVAC/R units or systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair heating/cooling systems and related electrical wiring.
• Read, interpret and follow safety standards and CMMS procedures.
