Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory in Gainesville, FL is seeking an HVAC Technician II to operate, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair HVAC and process equipment in a highly regulated data center and research environment on a 24/7 basis.

You will lead small installations, supervise contractors, document maintenance with CMMS, support project planning, and respond to on-call emergencies; 3 years experience required, 5 preferred, vocational/technical degree requested.

Qualifications

Education = Vocational/Technical Degree.
Education Preferred = Associate's Degree.
Experience = 3 years minimum; 5 years preferred.
Pay range provided in hourly terms.

Responsibilities

Independently operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, install and repair HVAC & Process Equipment.
Lead small-scale installations and commissioning; manage contractors for routine maintenance.
Support project planning and coordination with contractors, engineers and the Landlord.
Provide technical guidance and document maintenance using CMMS.
Participate in on-call status and respond to emergencies 24/7.
Occasional travel for training and shift work as required.
