Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and repair central HVAC systems across our facilities. The role requires adherence to preventive maintenance schedules, safety standards, and accurate record-keeping of all work performed.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, adjusting refrigerant levels, troubleshooting controls, and supporting energy management initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience working on central HVAC equipment.
• Heating and A/C (Refrigerant) certification required. Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support operations, maintenance, and construction of buildings by maintaining HVAC equipment and controls throughout the facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure inspections are completed as scheduled.
• Initiate corrective actions to repair or schedule work.
• Lubricate compressors, motors, and moving parts.
• Inspect system operation including vacuum/pressure checks and electrical components.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs and update equipment history files.
• Repair, repack and rebuild pumps, valves, and traps to ensure system continuity.
• Install and troubleshoot building automation and HVAC components to maximize efficiency.
