Job summary

Ibis Healthcare is seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across a range of HVAC systems in the Tampa area. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and strong customer service to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience (>3 years), understands refrigeration cycles, VRF systems, and building automation, and can work in varied environments including HUD apartments

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance or related field.
• Physically capable for lifting and roof access.
• EPA Section 608 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems (coils, refrigerant, belts, filters).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions and identify root causes.
• Repair or replace components such as motors, thermostats, sensors.
• Test systems after service and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Communicate with clients about status and recommended work.
• Follow safety protocols, EPA refrigerant handling rules.
• Maintain organized vehicle and tools and participate in on-call rotation.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
