Job summary

Merrimack Health is seeking an HVAC Technician II responsible for maintaining all hospital HVAC equipment under the supervision of the Facilities technical lead. You will inspect, test and operate systems and support preventive maintenance, repairs, and control adjustments to ensure a safe, comfortable environment.

Key requirements include EPA certification and 6-10 years of heating and ventilation experience, with proficiency in hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• EPA certification is required.
• 6-10 years' experience in heating and ventilation.
• Knowledge of proper use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC equipment and systems within the hospital.
• Implement and sustain a preventive maintenance program.
• Repair and replace systems, sub-systems, equipment and parts as needed.
• Inspect, adjust and maintain controls to ensure comfort and safety.

Job description

As the HVAC Technician II, you will maintain all of the HVAC equipment within the hospital under the supervision of the Facilities technical lead. Duties include inspecting, testing and operating all HVAC equipment and systems and incorporating a preventive maintenance program, repairing and replacing systems, sub-systems, equipment and parts as needed as well as inspecting, adjusting and maintaining controls to provide a comfortable and safe environment.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• EPA certification is required as well as a minimum 6-10 year's experience in heating and ventilation.
• Must have knowledge of proper use of hand and power tools and proven skills in heating and ventilation.

Preferred:

• Andover and Johnson controls experience preferred
