Job summary

Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA seeks an HVAC Technician I to assist with daily operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and related equipment. You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and collaborate with Facilities to keep environments safe and comfortable for visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of experience as HVAC technician or similar role.
• Understanding of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating principles.
• Working knowledge of boiler systems.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems per HVAC protocols.
• Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, repair and alter HVAC systems and related equipment for maximum efficiency.
• Inspect HVAC and infrastructure systems to identify problems and schedule corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building operating systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Monitor the Building Management System and run diagnostic checks with corrective actions as needed.
• Keep tools and equipment in safe, proper working order.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance for fuels, refrigerants, and hazardous materials.
