Job summary

REVEL SEARCH® is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join its Facilities team in Flint, Michigan. This role supports a large healthcare environment rather than residential service. You'll install, maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment, troubleshoot controls, and coordinate with other trades in a stable, year-round setting.

Day-shift schedule with occasional emergency coverage is required. Lead opportunities may provide up to $2/hour more.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have strong mechanical background and hands-on experience troubleshooting HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Journeyman-level Plumber or Pipefitter with documented HVAC training or equivalent.
• At least 4 years in Building Trades, Maintenance or Industrial repair with HVAC program completion.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Work on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, pumps, piping and controls.
• Balance, test and troubleshoot systems; perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate projects with other skilled trades and suppliers.
• May fabricate or modify components and work from blueprints/specifications.

Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join its Facilities team in Flint, Michigan.

This isn’t residential service work. You’ll be part of the team responsible for maintaining the heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration systems that support a complex healthcare environment every day.

• $28–$31/hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Lead opportunities may provide up to an additional $2/hour
• Day-shift schedule, with availability needed for emergency situations

What You’ll Work On

You’ll perform skilled installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout the Medical Center, including:

• Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
• Compressors, condensers, pumps and piping
• Climate controls and heat‑transfer systems
• Pneumatic and electrical controls
• System testing, balancing and operational troubleshooting
• Emergency repairs and equipment adjustments

You may also fabricate or modify components, work from blueprints and specifications, assist with system improvements, and coordinate projects with other skilled trades.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should have a strong mechanical background and hands‑on experience troubleshooting HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

You may qualify through either of these paths:

• Journeyman‑level Plumber or Pipefitter with documented HVAC training; OR
• At least 4 years of Building Trades, Maintenance or Industrial repair experience, along with completion of an approved Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration program.

Preferred but not required:

• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Working knowledge of warm‑air and hydronic heating systems

Warm Air or Hydronics Heating License is not required at hire, but must be obtained within two years of employment.
