Job summary

Tampa Bay Arena, LLC is seeking an HVAC technician responsible for day‑to‑day maintenance at each of our facilities, ensuring reliable climate control and energy efficiency behind the scenes.

The role requires maintaining and repairing components, programming and monitoring climate systems, testing water/chemical treatments, and work across venues in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. On‑site work with some time remote, and flexibility for extended hours, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair various components of climate control systems, including motors, cooling and heating coils, heat pumps, and hot water systems.
• Program, monitor, and schedule the cycling of climate control systems through a complex DDC processor for the most economical level of operation.
• Test and treat via chemical alteration all open and closed‑looped climate control energy systems, including the treatment of cooling towers.
• Maintain and repair building air handlers and boilers, including monitoring energy‑management procedures.
• Maintain and repair ice‑making equipment, refrigeration equipment, and appliances.
• Monitor HVAC chiller plant.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environments that can be exciting, loud, and distracting.
• Work onsite with flexibility to work a minority of time remotely.
• Availability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures.
• Readiness to commute to various venues throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area.
• Comfort in crowded spaces with equipment and/or people.
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods, walk long distances, and climb stairs.
• Capability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop, and squat without any physical movement restriction.
• Comfortable working at high heights using man lifts, trusses, ladders, and catwalks.
• Ability to work safely around special effects, including haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
