Job summary

Bart Depury Air Conditioing is seeking an skilled HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems across the Tampa Bay area. You will work on-site, perform repairs, and assist with installations while keeping customers informed of progress.

The role requires at least 1 year of technician experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background and drug checks.

Qualifications

• 1 year of technician experience in HVAC service.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Ability to pass background and drug checks.
• Willing to work on construction sites and outdoors.
• Ability to operate power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose HVAC systems to identify issues and propose repairs or replacements.
• Perform repairs to restore proper operation of air conditioning units.
• Carry out routine maintenance to maximize efficiency and performance.
• Assist with installation of new HVAC systems under guidance of senior techs.
• Explain services and recommendations to customers professionally.

About The Role
We’re seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments of HVAC systems to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements
• Perform repairs efficiently and accurately to restore proper functioning of air conditioning units
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components of HVAC systems to ensure peak performance and efficiency
• Assist with the installation of new HVAC systems, including handling equipment, running ductwork, and connecting electrical components, under the guidance of senior technicians
• Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing explanations of services performed and recommendations for optimal HVAC system performance
• Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and effectively
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including work orders, service reports, and inventory usage
• Complete paperwork and documentation in a timely and organized manner
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Follow safety guidelines for handling HVAC equipment, tools, and materials

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of technician experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR report
• Must be able to pass a background and drug check
• Must possess the ability to own and use power tools
• Ability to wear company-approved personal protection equipment per local, state, federal, or OSHA regulations
• Must complete tasks within the company’s standard timeframe
