Job summary

Kelso Industries is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service commercial and industrial HVAC systems across Ogden and Lindon, Utah. This full-time field role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer-focused service.

With 2+ years in similar roles and EPA 608 certification, you’ll work on RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, and more, using blueprints and schematics while traveling to job sites. Join a team that values integrity, training, and career growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC service role.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment including RTUs, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep systems running efficiently and extend equipment life.
• Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues across a range of HVAC platforms.
• Replace or repair components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Read and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
• Keep clients and team members informed on service findings and recommended next steps.
• Maintain thorough service records covering work completed, parts used, and system conditions.
• Perform all work in compliance with safety standards, applicable codes, and company policy.

About This Role

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC technical training or certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience, preferrably in a commercial HVAC service role.
• Hands-on experience with RTUs, VRV/VRF, VAV, split systems, chillers, boilers, and AHUs.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communicator with solid customer service instincts.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• NATE certification or equivalent.
• Experience with digital service tools or mobile work order platforms.
