Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking a full-time HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician to service residential, commercial and industrial systems. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on rooftops, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps, ensuring reliability and safety.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, HVAC certification, EPA 608, and 1+ years of experience. Travel to job sites with a valid driver’s license is required; NATE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification preferred.
  • 1+ years of HVAC maintenance or service experience.
  • EPA 608 certification required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
  • NATE certification preferred.
  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
  • Replace or repair defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding service findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records, including work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.

About This Role

We are seeking a few talented HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician's to join our team. This full-time position involves maintaining residential, commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

What You'll Do
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.

Preferred Qualifications
  • NATE certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with digital service tools and mobile work order platforms.
