Job summary

Climate Care, an industry leader in residential and commercial HVAC services, seeks an experienced HVAC technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential systems across Northern and Central New Jersey. You’ll work independently, on-call rotation, and communicate findings clearly to homeowners.

You will service gas furnaces, boilers, central AC, heat pumps, ductless systems, water heaters, and zoned setups, while following safety codes and documenting work professionally.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Experience servicing gas furnaces, boilers, central AC, heat pumps, ductless systems, water heaters, and zoned systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems.
• Service gas furnaces, boilers, central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless mini split systems, water heaters, and zoned systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify equipment issues and provide effective repair solutions.
• Install replacement components and complete system repairs according to industry standards.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with homeowners.
• Complete service documentation accurately and professionally.
• Follow all safety procedures, local codes, and company standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service on every call.
• Travel throughout Northern and Central New Jersey to support residential customers.
• Manage service calls efficiently while working independently in the field.

Your New Role

• 6+ years of residential HVAC service experience preferred
• Experience servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems
• Experience with light commercial HVAC systems, including basic knowledge of rooftop units, is preferred
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience working on gas furnaces, boilers, central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless mini split systems, water heaters, and zoned systems
• Knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical components, and mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently with minimal training or supervision
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners and team membersAbility to manage service calls efficiently and maintain accurate service documentation
• Ability to safely lift equipment and materials as required by the role
• Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, rooftops, and other residential environments
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and consistent quality of work.
• EPA Certification preferred
• Relevant HVAC certifications preferred
