Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an HVAC Technician for an on-site outage assignment in Seneca, SC. The role involves removing, repairing and installing HVAC equipment in an industrial setting, with strict safety and access requirements.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of HVAC experience, ability to work overtime, and readiness to operate in hot, cold and confined spaces, with eligibility for unescorted nuclear facility access.

Qualifications

• Two or more years' experience as an HVAC Technician in an Industrial environment.
• Must satisfy all requirements to obtain Unescorted Access to a nuclear facility (e.g. Plant Access Training, Fitness for Duty Training and Radiation Worker Training).
• Willing to work overtime as required and in hot, cold and confined spaces.

• Rod out containment air handlers
• Remove pump hatch and lower VR motor to containment
• Repair/Replace VR motor
• Periodic inspections on all containment air handlers and fans
• Repack drive bearings
• Remove and replace test dampers
• Remove/Replace pump hatch

About the role: HVAC Technician

Seneca, SC, contract outage position on-site. A successful candidate will have knowledge and ability to remove, repair, and install various types of HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Rod out containment air handlers
• 2. Remove pump hatch and lower VR motor to containment
• 3. Repair/Replace VR motor
• 4. Periodic inspections on all containment air handlers and fans
• 5. Repack drive bearings
• 6. Remove and replace test dampers
• 7. Remove/Replace pump hatch

Qualifications:
