Job summary

Design Temp of Florida Inc. is seeking a skilled commercial HVAC technician to deliver service and preventive maintenance across Tampa and surrounding areas. Enjoy a steady workload with modern equipment and a strong benefits package.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain rooftop units, split systems, and refrigeration equipment, reading blueprints and communicating solutions clearly to customers. A valid driver's license and EPA certification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC/HVAC-R service experience.
• EPA Type II or Universal EPA Certification.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
• Valid driver''s license.
• Experience servicing HVAC systems in restaurants/medical facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial HVAC service and preventive maintenance in Tampa, FL and surrounding areas.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain rooftop units, split systems, and refrigeration equipment.
• Service ductwork, electrical components, and HVAC control systems.
• Troubleshoot refrigerant, airflow, and electrical system issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
• Explain system conditions and solutions to customers professionally.
• Complete accurate service documentation and work reports.
• Keep your company vehicle clean, organized, and stocked.
• Follow HVAC safety procedures and industry compliance standards.

Your New Role

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and HVAC/R systems, including rooftop units, split systems, and refrigeration equipment.
• Service ductwork, electrical components, and HVAC control systems.
• Troubleshoot refrigerant, airflow, and electrical system issues.

• Complete accurate service documentation and work reports.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial HVAC or HVAC/R service experience.
• EPA Type II Certification or Universal EPA Certification.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
• Experience using HVAC service tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to complete written and verbal trade assessments.
• Experience servicing HVAC systems in restaurant and medical facilities is preferred.
