Job summary

Superior Essex Communications is seeking a Maintenance HVAC technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems and industrial chillers at the Brownwood plant. Under general direction, you will troubleshoot and repair equipment, ensuring reliable operation and adherence to safety and plant policies.

The ideal candidate has EPA Universal and Journeyman HVAC certifications, at least 3 years of HVAC repair experience, and a working knowledge of electrical components,

Qualifications

• EPA Universal certification required.
• Journeyman HVAC certification required.
• At least 3 years of HVAC repair and troubleshooting experience.
• Troubleshoots and repairs refrigerated water chillers.
• Troubleshoots and repairs AC systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical components on HVAC equipment.
• Understands and adheres to LOTO policy.
• Starts devices to test their performance.
• Uses machine tools as necessary to perform repairs.
• Maintains records and inventory of spare parts.
• Researches repair parts and initiates requisitions.
• Uses sound troubleshooting techniques to determine root cause solutions.
• Documents repair actions daily.

Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot HVAC systems and chillers.
• Support preventive maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Maintain records of parts and repairs and report issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and LOTO procedures.

EPA Universal certification
