Job summary

Superior International is seeking a maintenance technician to service and repair commercial HVAC systems and industrial chillers at our Brownwood, Texas facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure safe operation in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate holds an EPA Universal certification, 1–7 years of related experience, and relevant trade certifications (NATE, ASHRAE, OSHA). Strong problem-solving and record-keeping skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, 1–7 years related experience or training, or equivalent.
• NATE certification or equivalent HVAC trade certification.
• ASHRAE certification preferred.
• OSHA safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance to commercial HVAC systems and industrial chillers.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigerated water chillers and AC systems.
• Repair electrical components on HVAC equipment.
• Follow LOTO policy and safety procedures.
• Test devices to verify performance and maintain records of parts and repairs.
• Order and maintain spare parts inventory and research replacement parts.

Job description

Under general direction from the Maintenance management team, perform repairs and preventive maintenance to commercial HVAC systems and industrial chillers in manufacturing plant. Must have the following qualifications.

Description of essential job functions:

• EPA Universal certification.
• At least 3 years’ experience in HVAC repair and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoots and repairs refrigerated water chillers.
• Troubleshoots and repairs AC systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical components on HVAC equipment.
• Understands and adheres to LOTO policy.
• Starts devices to test their performance.
• Uses machine tools as necessary to perform repairs.
• Maintains records and inventory of spare parts.
• Researches repair parts and initiates requisitions.
• Uses sound troubleshooting techniques to determine “root cause” solutions.
• Performs all other tasks as necessary to maintain plant equipment and property.
