Job summary

TFC Mechanical is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician in Austin, TX to perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R systems across commercial properties. Training is available for the right candidate.

Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical skills, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow in the HVAC trade. Company vehicle provided and benefits are offered. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Some experience as an HVAC Technician is preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and technical aptitude.
• Familiarity with HVAC/R systems and components.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Air‑cooled chiller experience is a plus.
• Welding and basic electrical experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and service on commercial HVAC/R equipment.
• Conduct field service visits to diagnose and troubleshoot system issues.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to repair and replace HVAC components.
• Service air conditioning units and ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and performance.
• Assist with general property maintenance tasks as needed.
• Drive a company vehicle to travel to multiple job sites.
• Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with local codes and company standards.
