Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional for the Milwaukee campus. The role focuses on maintaining heating, cooling, ventilation, and energy systems within a healthcare facility, ensuring safety and reliability for building operations.

You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and optimizing building systems while complying with safety regulations and coordinating with team members on work orders and projects.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Universal EPA License.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • High school diploma or trade school graduate or equivalent.
  • Any combination of education and experience that is relevant will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems.
  • Applies knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, and energy management systems.
  • Responds to after-hours emergencies and follows safety protocols with PPE.

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs all heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems.
  • Applies specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
  • Responds to after-hours emergencies, manages power outage procedures, and strictly follows safety protocols using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Coordinates with personnel regarding work orders, ensures compliance with building and safety regulations, and keeps tools and vehicles in safe operating condition.
  • Dedicates 20% of the role to participating in meetings, training workshops, and assisting with special projects as assigned.
  • Leads training and department orientation and serves as Subject Matter Expert for facilities stakeholders.
Qualifications
What minimum requirements you'll need
Required
  • Universal EPA License
  • 5 years' experience
And One Or More Of The Following
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of trade school.
  • Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
