Job summary

ColonialWebb Contractors is seeking an HVAC Team Lead for our Service Team in Chantilly, Virginia. This role involves mentoring HVAC Technicians and utilizing strong HVAC skills. You'll diagnose and repair equipment, supervise team activities, and develop lasting customer relationships.

HVAC Team Lead – Chantilly

ColonialWebb is looking for a HVAC Team Lead for our HVAC Service Team in Chantilly. If you enjoy mentoring others while utilizing your strong HVAC abilities, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of equipment breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components; primary area of expertise is systems requiring average technical skills on rooftop HVAC units, heat pumps, DX systems, and pneumatic and electrical control systems.
• Inspect work in process and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned HVAC Technicians.
• Cultivate and maintain lasting relationships with current customers and work with both current and potential customers to qualify service needs; develop estimates that will grow our business in the region.
• Focus on development of the team, through exceptional coaching, teaching, and caring.

Qualifications

• Possess an associate degree, equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with a certificate in HVAC, or be a graduate of a sponsored apprenticeship program, or have 5 years of direct HVAC experience.
• Demonstrate technological proficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence with clarity and accuracy.
• Possess knowledge of current Building Codes, ASHRAE standards and OSHA safety regulations.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
