Job summary

Zobility is seeking an HVAC Release Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to lead development and validation of HVAC components (compressors, A/C lines, refrigerant valves, chillers, sensors). You will coordinate with powertrain, BIW, aero/thermal, engine cooling, EE and suppliers to meet program targets.

Responsibilities include maintaining DVP&R, issues lists, bench testing, CFD/FEA analyses, and driving corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Must have strong thermodynamics and fluid mechanics fundamentals.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter with motivation to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate automotive HVAC components including compressors, A/C lines, refrigerant valves, chillers and sensors.
• Coordinate development with powertrain, BIW, aero/thermal, engine cooling, EE and suppliers.
• Manage design, specifications, change notices and supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables.
• Maintain DVP&R and issues lists; support bench testing, simulations and data analysis; drive corrective actions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (ABET accredited)
