Job summary

Tata Technologies in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Design Release Engineer for HVAC refrigerant loop design. You will drive development and validation of the automotive HVAC compressor and A/C lines, ensuring components meet performance objectives and coordinating with powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling and suppliers.

Responsibilities include leading CFD/FEA analyses, maintaining DVP&R, data analysis and corrective actions, and supporting pilot builds at the assembly plant for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3+ years of HVAC compressor/A/C line design/development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Unigraphics NX and CATIA.
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R and basic thermodynamics.
• DFSS experience and automotive assembly plant exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Writing source packages, specifications, requirements and change notices to meet program timing.
• Maintain a DVP& R, support bench testing, simulations and data analysis with corrective actions.
• Lead virtual CFD/FEA analyses to meet performance objectives.
• Support pilot and pre-production build at the assembly plant for AC line and compressors.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited university)
