Zobility in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an HVAC Release Engineer to lead development and validation of automotive HVAC components including compressors, A/C lines, valves, chillers and sensors. The role requires coordinating with powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling and EE teams, managing DVP&R, and driving issue resolution with suppliers.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in compressor or valve development, solid Thermodynamics and HVAC knowledge, circuit-reading ability, DFMEA/DVP&R

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in electric/mechanical compressor development or electronic valves
• Thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and HVAC fundamentals
• Ability to read circuit diagrams, pinouts, traces
• Experience with electro-mechanical devices and sensors hardware and software (coding not expected)
• CAN/LIN bus knowledge and/or circuit analysis experience
• Experience with CAD tools - NX or Teamcenter
• Strong PC + MS Office skills; excellent written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, software and controls requirements; DFSS is a plus

Responsabilités

• Develop and validate the HVAC compressor, A/C lines, refrigerant valves, chillers, and sensors.
• Coordinate development with powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling, EE and suppliers.
• Maintain a component and sub-system DVP&R, open issues list, issue resolution, and data analysis with corrective actions.
• Lead CFD and FEA analyses to meet performance targets; conduct drive-cell and static tests.
• Support pilot build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of HVAC components
