Job summary

CBRE is seeking an HVAC Engineer to maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems, perform proactive testing, and schedule preventive maintenance. The role is within Engineering and Technical Services and supports repair, maintenance and operation of building systems.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of related experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to lead and coach others while ensuring safety and code compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of related experience or equivalent combination
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of HVAC control systems and building systems
• Willingness to coach/mentor others and work in a team

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to team members and ensure timely completion
• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain HVAC control systems and related instruments
• Inspect and maintain building HVAC equipment for proper operation and code compliance
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best modification approach
• Apply in-depth knowledge to complete complex assignments and provide solutions
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines
• Lead by example and align with CBRE values (RISE)
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within teams
• Operate within broad guidelines and policies
• Explain difficult or sensitive information
