Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and maintain HVAC products across residential and commercial lines, ensuring best-in-class performance and reliability.

You will lead design efforts, use advanced simulations, collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams, and interact with regulatory bodies. A strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and DFSS/DFMA is preferred, with hands-on lab experience and EPA certification.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC system design and applications; familiarity with components design/integration.
• Familiar with NPD process, DFSS and DFMA principles.
• Fundamentals of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and heat exchanger design.
• Hands-on skills with laboratory equipment, test stands and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and agency compliance.
• Knowledge of air management, aeroacoustics, and structural analysis.
• HVAC&R manufacturing methods; industrial experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with system controls, sequence of operations and electrical wiring methods.
• Familiarity with data acquisition, advanced experimental techniques, instrumentation, calibration, measurement systems, uncertainty analysis and DoE concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide measurable contribution to NPD projects and sustaining initiatives.
• Manage projects and special engineering requests through the complete product development cycle.
• Design, optimize and qualify HVAC systems using analytical and experimental methods.
• Lead product qualification and agency compliance test programs.
• Conduct analytical studies using state-of-the-art simulation tools.
• Ensure design quality and support calculations and proposals.
• Support manufacturing, sales & marketing, quality, technical services, and supply chain.
• Interface with vendors, customers, and field personnel.
• Conduct presentations for technical and business personnel.
• Document product designs by preparing bills of material, drawings, change notifications.
• Interface with regulatory and test agencies.
