Job summary

PACCAR Mechanical Engineer - Low Cab Forward Development is seeking an experienced engineer to advance cab interior solutions, including trim systems, instrument panels, center consoles and storage components. This role focuses on ergonomic improvements, quality and customer satisfaction within a fast-moving program.

The candidate will design using Windchill and Creo, apply FEA and GD&T, and contribute to DFSS while supporting cross-functional teams across PACCAR Technical Center and brands like

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and initiate designs of a complex nature and conduct necessary research incidental to design.
• Support definition of vehicle program.
• Complete design projects through planning, concept development, calculation and design analysis, packaging studies, design, testing, implementation, and evaluation.
• Use Windchill and Creo to create CAD models and drawings.
• Apply knowledge of stress analysis and FEA.
• Develop and support DFSS processes.
• Coordinate and complete projects with other engineering groups and divisions.
