Job summary

AIRO Mechanical in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking an HVAC Superintendent to oversee projects from start to finish on-site. You will manage HVAC installations, ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion, and lead a team of technicians and subcontractors.

You will read and interpret construction plans, enforce codes and safety protocols, manage resources and budgets, communicate with clients, and maintain accurate project records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience overseeing HVAC projects in commercial/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation methods.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and construction practices.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• HVAC licenses/certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Position Summary:

As an HVAC Superintendent at Airo Mechanical, you will assume a leadership role in overseeing HVAC projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for managing all on-site aspects of HVAC installations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage HVAC projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution, to meet project objectives and client expectations.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of HVAC technicians, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project.
• Ensure that HVAC installations comply with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
• Manage project resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing project updates as needed.
• Identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
• Assist in monitoring project budgets and controlling costs effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an HVAC Superintendent in commercial and industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices in construction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
• HVAC-related certifications and licenses a plus.
• A valid driver’s license.

Education :

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in plumbing, business management, or related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Frequently remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Frequently makes substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Frequently moves and raises materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Frequently communicates with the public (e.g., potential clients, job candidates, vendors) via phone, email, and in-person, as well as colleagues, on assigned tasks and projects.
