AllSearch Professional Staffing, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Superintendent for multifamily construction in Northern Virginia. This field-based role requires 5+ years of multifamily HVAC experience, previously serving as Foreman or Superintendent.

You will supervise field personnel and subcontractors, coordinate installation schedules, and travel regionally between jobsites. Responsibilities include coordinating labor, materials, and submittals, reviewing drawings and specs, and ensuring safety

HVAC Superintendent - Multifamily Construction - Base Salary to 115k/year - Northern Virginia

Our client is a mechanical contractor seeking an HVAC Superintendent to oversee installations across multiple active multifamily residential construction projects. This field-based position requires 5+ years of multifamily HVAC construction experience, including experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent. The Superintendent will supervise field personnel and subcontractors, coordinate installation schedules and resources, and travel regularly between regional jobsites. HVAC General Foremen with the required multifamily construction background will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC installation activities across multiple concurrent multifamily construction projects
• Coordinate daily field operations, installation schedules, construction sequencing, and project milestones with General Contractor Superintendents and Project Managers
• Monitor installation progress, identify schedule delays and field conflicts, and coordinate corrective actions
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, approved submittals, and construction information needed by field teams
• Supervise foremen, assistant foremen, field crews, and subcontractors across active jobsites
• Allocate manpower among projects and review and approve field personnel timesheets
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, construction schedules, contract documents, and installation layouts
• Coordinate HVAC installations with other trades and resolve field issues with project management, general contractors, and architecture and engineering teams
• Communicate approved changes and revised drawings to field personnel and verify implementation
• Conduct site visits to inspect installation quality, production progress, and compliance with jobsite safety requirements
• Monitor material availability and equipment utilization
• Maintain project records, progress reports, and documentation of field issues and corrective actions
• Support Project Managers with verification of completed work and subcontractor billing
• Coordinate outstanding installation corrections and project closeout activities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multifamily HVAC construction experience, including experience at the Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent level
• Working knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, HVAC equipment, installation practices, and mechanical construction methods
• Experience supervising field personnel and coordinating subcontractors on active construction projects
• Experience coordinating construction activities with General Contractors, Project Managers, and other project stakeholders
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, mechanical plans, specifications, schedules, and project documentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam Revu
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Availability for regular regional travel between jobsites and occasional extended jobsite assignments
• Ability to perform essential construction-site activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing or walking, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Availability to work additional hours or weekends when project requirements dictate

Compensation

Base Salary: $95, 000-$115, 000/year (negotiable, depending on experience)
