Job summary

Titan Mechanical and Plumbing in Newport News, VA seeks a Senior HVAC & Plumbing Foreman to lead on-site operations. You will work with the Project Manager to ensure the project aligns with drawings and specifications, coordinating materials and manpower for timely delivery.

You will oversee day-to-day activities, verify subcontractor work, manage safety and quality on-site, and facilitate equipment and cut-sheet preparations while reading plans and understanding field construction processes.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in mechanical and plumbing field with management experience.
• Military experience preferred.
• HVAC & Plumbing construction experience.
• Multifamily/Commercial experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates between Project Manager and GC to ensure drawings and specs are followed.
• Plan project schedule, manage subcontractor schedules, coordinate material and equipment delivery.
• Responsible for day-to-day activities on site.
• Verify completed work by subcontractor.
• Manage quality of workmanship on-site.
• Manage tools and equipment for the project.
• Attend weekly meetings with on-site GC for project schedule.
• Provide feedback for issues found during construction.
• Create material take-offs and cut sheets for ordering.
• Read plans and understand construction flow.
• Understand application in the field and knowledge of construction.

Job description

Position Overview The Senior HVAC & Plumbing Foreman works with the Project Manager to oversee the job site processes. The Foreman is responsible to ensure all materials and manpower are on site to build the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. All project success on site is directly related to the organization and leadership of the Foreman. The Foreman reports to the General Superintendent and Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicates between the Project Manager and GC to ensure compliance of construction with drawings and specifications
• Plan project schedule, manage subcontractors schedule, coordinate material and equipment delivery to site
• Responsible for day-to-day activities on site

Working Environment

• On-site position located in Newport News, VA
• Regular travel to job sites is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor as required.
• Work in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, confined spaces).
• Standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods.
• Use of PPE and adherence to safety regulations.
