Job summary

Power Design is seeking an experienced HVAC Start Up Technician in Florida to support projects across regional sites. Responsibilities include system start-up, commissioning, preventative and corrective maintenance, and delivering exceptional customer service on active projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HVAC service, knowledge of VRF/VRV and DX systems, EPA certification, and travel readiness to cover assignments. Proficiency with MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least five years of HVAC service experience is required.
• Proficient with start-up, commissioning, and service of VRF/VRV and DX systems.
• EPA Certification and active Journeyman or Master HVAC license preferred.
• Willing to travel as required.
• Strong knowledge of IECC, ICC, ASHRAE standards and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance; diagnose and resolve issues.
• HVAC system start-up and commissioning; verify performance and parameters.
• Ensure work adheres to contract scope, safety rules, and Power Design policies.
• Provide weekly status updates on warranty calls, small projects, and service work.
• Work on designated job sites when not answering service calls or performing maintenance.
