Job summary

Power Design in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Mechanical Service Technician to support projects by performing HVAC mechanical work, including installation, startup, and commissioning of systems. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, travel as needed, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring safety and compliance with IECC/ASHRAE standards.

Applicants should have at least five years of service experience; EPA certification is required and OSHA

Qualifications

• Five or more years of HVAC service experience; ten years preferred.
• Knowledge of IECC, ICC, and ASHRAE standards; local codes; and safety.
• EPA Certification is required; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance; diagnose and resolve issues.
• Work with VRF, DX Split, Chillers, Boilers and other advanced systems.
• HVAC system start-up and commissioning; document operational parameters.
• Ensure work aligns with contract scope, safety, and Power Design policies.
• Provide customer service and weekly status updates on service tickets and projects.
• Work on designated job sites when not responding to service calls.
