Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting.
• HVAC certification or license preferred.
• Experience working with blueprints and schematics.
• Understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform strenuous labor.

Responsibilities

• Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in CMMS via mobile device.
• Plans staff, material needs, and timelines for jobs and projects.
• Cleans, services, repairs, and diagnoses HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems.
• Assists in making decisions on repairs and reports major problems to the Manager.
• Constructs, installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Reviews outside vendor projects and creates punch lists.
• Analyzes building system problems and electro/mechanical issues.
• Supports project management activity as needed.
• Responds to emergency problems and makes repairs.
• Maintains logs, PMs, tests, and inspections.
• Suggests modifications or improvements to maintenance systems.
• Keeps shops and areas clean and safe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
