Job summary

Gulfstream Strategic Placements, LLC is seeking an experienced HVAC Special Projects Manager for a California-based mechanical contractor. The role focuses on leading commercial HVAC construction projects, ensuring client satisfaction and value engineering opportunities.

Responsibilities include building relationships with general contractors and owners, overseeing project coordination, and managing subcontracts, submittals, and RFI processes. Local candidates with 8+ years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Local candidate preferred.
• 8+ years of HVAC contracting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or construction similar preferred.
• Strong knowledge in State building codes, Sage/Timberline, Microsoft Office.

• Review project specs and identify value engineering opportunities to present to our clients.

Job description

We are a large mechanical contractor in California that works on many of California’s biggest and best mechanical projects. This is a full-time position with great benefits. We are planning to hire California’s best and brightest HVAC Special Projects Manager in the near future.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure client satisfaction in early phase of upcoming projects.
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with GC’s and Owners.
• Business development with existing and prospect general contractors and owners, as well as other sub-contractors and MEP-design engineers.
• Meet and coordinate with Sub contractors. As well as communicating with Superintendent, Foreman, Journeyman, QA, and helpers in the fieldFind, Estimate and Manage Commercial HVAC Construction Projects; schedule, billings, submittals, ROI’s, RFI’s & change orders, select and monitor subs, O&M’s, and warranties.
• Review project specs and identify value engineering opportunities to present to our clients.
