Job summary

Modine seeks a Sales Engineer to bridge engineering and sales for HVAC and air handling solutions. You will build strong customer relationships, develop accurate proposals, and provide technical guidance from concept through project execution.

The role requires excellent communication, problem solving, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams. Travel to customer sites and industry events is expected as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
Experience in manufacturing, HVAC, or technical sales is preferred.
Strong communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with customers, reps, engineers and contractors.
Collaborate to identify project requirements and propose products and solutions.
Review specifications, drawings, schedules and bid documents.
Prepare quotations, proposals and technical submittals.
Provide technical support through sales process including design guidance.
Coordinate with Engineering, Operations and Production to meet requirements.
Respond to inquiries on capabilities, pricing, lead times and orders.
Support new business development via prospecting and visits.
Assist with project handoff and post-completion support.
Track opportunities and maintain CRM records.
Attend meetings, trade shows and training to stay current.
Monitor market trends and competitive activity; drive improvements.
